Date: Thursday, 11th May
Time: 10:00 – 14:00
Location: The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre exhibition space, Kensington (map)
In support of Big Data Week Perth 2017 coordinated by The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre, Dell EMC welcomes all interested guests in joining Matt Wallis present Bright Cluster Manager 8 capabilities on Machine Learning, Ceph, Hadoop and High Performance Computing.
Big Data is a broad topic that can involve a range of complex tools to manage and extract data from. Dell EMC have teamed up with Bright Computing to build the Dynamic Data Centre, and enable customers to rapidly deploy different tools as needed to ingest, manage and analyse Big Data no matter it’s form. Join Matt as he presents Bright Cluster Manager 8 and it’s capabilities on Machine Learning, Ceph, Hadoop, and HPC.
Matt has been working in IT for 22 years, and has been building High Performance Computing Systems for 12 years. He’s worked for the Victorian Partnership for Advanced Computing, IBM Research, DDN Storage and now Dell EMC to provide high end solutions to customers working on some of the world’s biggest challenges. Providing solutions requires an understanding of different workloads, and how these workloads are best addressed using different compute, storage, networking and software platforms. From Engineering applications using CAD/CAE for VPAC, Bioinformatics programs for IBM Research and the Victorian Life Sciences Initiative, and data intensive workloads for a range of customers with DDN Storage.
Please join our team on either one of the following sessions; in between both sessions, our team will be hosting a light lunch, demonstration and networking session. Please see agenda as follows.
